House Renovation In Derby
The client wanted to strip out and completely renovate and modernise the property in order to rent it out. They wanted a new bathroom and they wanted to create a more open plan kitchen and living area. Furniture throughout the house as well as new carpets, flooring and being re-painted entirely. One objective was to create a 3rd bedroom, by converting the first reception room into a bedroom.
What we did
To begin with me stripped out the whole house and re-plastered all the walls.
For the Kitchen; the entrance tot he kitchen was originally though a very small arch. The client wanted this to become a more open plan kitchen and therefore we knocked out the arch and made the entrance to the kitchen much bigger. We fitted a Crown Lifestyle kitchen with CDA and Caple appliances. As well as incorporating laminate worktops and splash back to create a striking, modern appearance. Karndean flooring was also put down in the kitchen.
For the Living Area; Karndean flooring was put down and new furniture was put throughout the room to create a modern, homely feel.
For the Bedrooms; originally there were 2 bedrooms but the client wanted to create a third. To do this we created a partition wall in the first reception room, therefore creating a 3rd bedroom and a small hallway from the front door to the living area. All bedrooms were fitted with new wardrobes and new carpets, and new electrical work and lighting was fitted throughout.
For the Bathroom; the bath and shower were stripped out and replaced with a new bath and Grohe shower with an April enclosure. We used Tavistock furniture with a solid surface basin and worktop. A new mirror and ladder radiator was fitted as well. Karndean was also fitted in the bathroom.
For Outside; the outside toilet room has been converted to hold a tumble dryer. The outside garden has also been modernised and re-done.
The result was a stunning, modern and renovated house perfect for letting or renting out. It suited the clients objectives perfectly and the result was beautiful.
